Stuart Sutcliffe: The Lost Beatle
Stuart Sutcliffe met John Lennon at art college in Liverpool in 1959. Before long, Lennon persuaded him to join a band he had started with Paul McCartney and George Harrison. They were on the brink of success when Sutcliffe left to pursue his two great loves: art and German photographer Astrid Kirchherr. Soon after, his health began to fail, and he died on April 10, 1962. Giving Sutcliffe his due, this film examines the life of a promising young artist through interviews with Kirchherr, early Beatles manager Allan Williams, Stuart's sister Pauline, and others who knew him. 60 min. on 1 DVD.
