Syttende Mai Canvas Print
Syttende Mai—the 17th of May—is Norway's Fourth of July. On that day in 1814, the Kingdom of Norway declared its independence from Danish rule; ever since, it has celebrated with parades, music, and lutefisk. This colorful image shows the city of Oslo awash in flags and festivity. Printed on canvas stretched over wood (no frame is needed), it has the look and feel of an oil painting. 11 1/2" x 16 1/2". Image is also available as a paper print signed by the artist and ready to frame.
