On July 6, 1974, Garrison Keillor launched a new live variety show on Minnesota Public Radio. A Prairie Home Companion has retained its small town charm over the past 35 years by featuring a diverse slate of musical guests accompanied by comedy sketches, beloved fake sponsor ads and the signature News from Lake Wobegon monologue.

The new illustration by Rodica Prato painstakingly details everything that is needed to get the show on air each week: from the Guy’s All Star Shoe band, the guest performers and musicians, the voice talent, the stage hands and crew and of course, the live audience.
