At age four, Yo-Yo Ma began to study the cello with his father. He then attended the Juilliard School and later, Harvard. He’s recorded more than 75 albums covering his wide-ranging interests — from Bach to Brazil. Now comes this passion-filled romantic collection billed as a “musical autobiography” and includes many previously released selections as well as some newly recorded material representing composers from Gershwin to Vivaldi. Ma says he chose the individual works on the album "to represent various aspects of love."
